🌼 Sunshine in the Soil

Updated: Jul 11

Only 8 Bars — Dandelion Soap Now Open for Preorder

They rise with spring — bright, stubborn, and quietly healing. While others mow them down, we gather gently. The very first dandelions of the season, picked around the little church we go to in Victor, were laid out to dry, then slowly infused into extra virgin olive oil — warmed only by time and Montana sun.

That infusion took over a month and a half. And it’s the heart of this batch.

This soap blends:

  • Extra virgin olive oil slow-infused with early spring dandelion blossoms — rich in antioxidants and known in TCM and Ayurveda to gently cleanse, cool inflammation, and support clear skin

  • Murumuru butter — deeply moisturizing and helps restore elasticity without heaviness

  • Avocado oil — full of vitamins A, D, and E, a calming friend to dry or sensitive skin

  • Apricot kernel oil — light, fast-absorbing, and soothing

  • Jojoba oil — closest to skin’s natural sebum; supports balance and softness

  • Castor oil — adds a hint of lather and moisture-locking shine

  • Fresh banana purée — adds a creaminess and subtle sugar for lather, along with potassium, vitamins, and a gentle softness

    to the skin

No plain water. No chemicals. And absolutely no hormone-disruptive fragrance — just a soft, natural scent of dried herbs and green spring air.

Each bar is blended, poured, and trimmed entirely by hand. Only 10 bars exist — and we’re saving 2 for our kids, who’ve been watching this batch grow since the first flowers appeared.

That means just 8 bars will be available.

🌿 Why Dandelion?

Dandelion may be humble, but it’s far from ordinary. In both Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Ayurveda, it’s been treasured for centuries as a powerful cleanser and gentle healer.

In TCM, dandelion (蒲公英 pú gōng yīng) is considered cooling and detoxifying, known to clear heat and reduce fire toxins. It’s often used to support skin clarity, ease inflammation, and promote the healthy flow of liver qi — believed to keep emotions and energy moving freely.

In Ayurveda, dandelion is equally honored as a bitter tonic that supports pitta balance, aiding digestion, purifying the blood, and gently cleansing the liver. Its grounding, cooling nature is perfect for restoring calm when the body or mind feels overheated.

And beyond tradition, dandelion is rich in minerals, antioxidants, and prebiotics — a quiet powerhouse for skin and body alike.

So while others call it a weed, we see what healers saw long before us: a golden thread of spring medicine, still growing wild at our feet.
